Licensed Acupuncturist

Jen knows firsthand the difference a holistic perspective can have on individual wellness. As a teenager, she recalls watching a close family member struggle to find help within the traditional Western medical system. She realized there had to be a more integrative approach to health and healing.

"My first love is nutrition," explains Jen, who earned a Masters in Holistic Nutrition from Clayton College of Natural Health. She became interested in Eastern medicine techniques after receiving acupuncture treatments for sinus infections. "That light bulb went on, and it was like, I should be doing this!" she says. "It's nice because the Eastern nutrition part is one of the pillars of holistic medicine, and that all works together."

Jen is a graduate of Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in Chicago, a rigorous program that requires training in a wide array of traditional Chinese medicine modalities. Her educational experience, coupled with her years in private practice, gives Jen unique insight into the needs of women, especially those seeking fertility support. "Statistically, women are more susceptible [to stress] because of what we experience from societal expectations," she says, noting that many patients don't realize the negative impact stress has on their reproductive health.

When she's not working, Jen loves to take in live music (you may have seen her stretching it out at Riot Fest), travel, and cheer on the White Sox. She's also a self-described "bean nerd" (shout out to Rancho Gordo beans), and the neighborhood feral cat colony caretaker.

Jen is licensed by the state of IL and recognized by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM), and is a certified NCCAOM Herbalist.
